Graduation Ceremony

The annual Graduation Ceremony for Form 6 students was held on the 18th June. We were very honoured and excited to have The Honourable Doreen KONG Yuk-foon, Member of the Legislative Council of the HKSAR as the Guest-of-Honour, Mr Peter Ho, School Supervisor, Ms Diana Lo, Principal, and SMC members as the platform party.

The Principal, Ms. Diana Lo, extended a very warm welcome to all the guests, parents and friends to celebrate the big day of our graduates. She was delighted to see all of us staying hopeful and positive despite the adversities due to the pandemic over these years. She reminded us all of the importance of gratitude and how to always remember people who have helped us on our way. She ended her speech by congratulating all graduates and encouraging them to continue to be independent, resilient and caring to make a better world.

An experienced solicitor and Legco member, Ms. Kong, shared her joy as the guest-of-honour of the YHKCC Graduation Ceremony. As she shared her life journey, she left us with three key values that guided her on her way - courage, reflection and love. Despite her tough circumstances, she preached about how it was important to be grateful for everything we have and have the courage and resilience to work towards our goals. And most importantly, to love because with love, we can change the world to be a better place.

Our graduates Zita Puentespina, Yuichiro Minamikawa and Rita Cheung delivered inspiring and heartfelt votes of thanks in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. The ceremony ended with a thankful hymn, Amazing Grace, which the graduates and audience sang together, giving thanks to the Lord, our Saviour.

All graduates were thrilled and grateful to have their parents and friends to celebrate their success together! Congratulations, Class of 2022!
